Art and Ireland's Great Hunger
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Gaelic League 2068 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI 48216
Ryan D. Mahoney, Executive Director of Ireland's Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University, will present a seminar on the museum's assemblage of art focused on Ireland's Great Hunger and how it is relevant to understanding the life, land, language and culture of Ireland. The museum contains the largest collection of Great Hunger related artwork in the world. During 2018-19, a major portion of the collection was exhibited in Dublin, Skibbereen and Derry. The exhibition was viewed by over 100,000 visitors.

We are requesting a $10 donation at the door.
Two notes about parking:

1) Only the fenced lot behind the League and the row along the east side of the building are GL property (free). The big lot east of the League is privately owned, and he is now charging to park.

2) Parking zones have recently been created in Corktown for street parking. Observe parking fee collection units on each block.
